Coach Joe Gaither was appointed in June 2025 as an at-large member of the Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation Board of Directors. The board oversees philanthropic support for key programs, including the College Access Program, the Virginia Western Forward Fund, and other student and faculty resources. A 1977 graduate, Joe received VWCC’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2023.
